Did you know that Instagram is the second traditional social network in terms of active users after Facebook? Surprisingly, this platform keeps growing and according to Instagram statistics 1 billion people use Instagram every month and 500 million people use Instagram Stories every day.
As many businesses and content creators are already using Instagram, the social network has finally decided to add its new features called Instagram Professional Account, which can be used for both business accounts and creator accounts, so that business owners and content creators can optimize their Instagram platform.

What is the difference between a Professional account and a Creator account?
The Business account is intended to make it easy for business owners, such as brands, to promote their business on Instagram. While the Creator account is for celebrities, influencers or public figures.
The advantages of a Professional Instagram account
In terms of appearance, Professional or Creator accounts are very similar to a personal account. There is almost no difference if you only look at it closely. But if you take the time to check in detail, you will see that there are account categories under the name in the biography section, and you will see a contact button on the business account. There are a few other cool features as well.

Instagram Insight
All the stats you could possibly need to analyze your engagement with your audience in the platform are here in this amazing feature.
It is similar to Facebook when you have a fan page or a company page. Once you’ve created your business account, there are a few things you can do about it, such as:
- Data about your followers – follower growth, gender, age, location and time they opened Instagram.
- Data on the most popular post, the number of people viewing it, the content that attracts a large number of followers, etc.
- Profile Interaction – how many people visit the profile, how many people click on the bio link, emails or contact.
- And many others.
CTA button
I may have mentioned this before, but this call-to-action button will make it easy for your audience to take direct action either through emails or over the phone.
Instagram Ads
This feature might also be offered in the personal account now, but honestly, you couldn’t really optimize Instagram for business if you didn’t replace it with business accounts or designer accounts. So it is more recommended to use the promotion function with Instagram ads when you have already changed your personal account to a business account.

Tips for optimizing your Instagram business account
It’s no secret that Instagram limits you to posting a link on their platform. And for some of you who could create your business account on your own without using any paid tool to gain lots of followers, you will be annoyed that everything is too limited to share your link anywhere because the only way to do this is to run Instagram ads (which you have to pay for) or to establish yourself with at least 10,000 followers first to benefit from the “Swipe Up” feature on Instagram Stories.
Don’t worry, a lot of people have the same problem and so you are not alone in this situation. And the good news is that there are ways to fix this problem and the solution could be a free and hassle-free solution if you want.
Create a home page
The homepage can be a simple solution for you which could offer different CTA buttons to specify the action of your target audience. If you’re a brand, you can place a button on your website, Amazon store, or customer service email. Another example, if you are a photographer, you can make CTA buttons such as your portfolio page, your website, your masterclass (if you sell online courses).
Direct link to the Chat
Some customers may prefer to chat with the brand representative rather than talking to them on the phone, using direct message (DM) on Instagram or via emails. If you are a service-oriented business and have already set up a webchat, like Live Chat, Drift or other web chat platform on your main website platform, I recommend that you create a direct link so that your customer can connect with you.
If you use WhatsApp Business as a chat platform to connect with your audience, you can also link directly right away instead of putting your number on an Instagram bio that couldn’t be copied. The goal is to make it easier and more immediate for your prospect to contact you. By clicking on the link, a chat with the person opens automatically. Click to chat works both on your phone and on the WhatsApp website.
How to do? Simply by using this link: https://wa.me/<your business number>
For example your number is +33 6 21 XX XX XX
So the link is supposed to be https://wa.me/ 33621XXXXXX
These are steps and some tips that I can recommend for you to create your business account on the Instagram platform to reach a wider audience and work on the content for greater engagement that leads to conversion.
